Frequent Questions

Renting duration will be effective exactly 5 minutes after a power bank has been rented. A borrowing period that is less than 60 minutes will be rounded up as an hour. The day the power bank is returned to the station will mark the conclusion of the rental period. For any extra days after the rental duration, a very small amount of rental fee + tax based on location will apply for every 24 hours of keeping our device. After 3 days lapses, your rental duration has expired, and your portable power bank is considered purchased.

After the period of 3 days, failure to return the rented power bank to a DCPB Power station will cause the power bank to be regarded as purchased. If this happens, a sale fee plus tax of thirty-five dollars USD ($35) will be charged to your credit card. The power bank can be charged with a computer, or a standard Micro USB cable plugged into a wall outlet.

You can return your power bank to any DCPB station that has an empty slot. DC Power Bank locations are available on the app.

If you lose a power bank, please report the issue to us immediately to avoid any additional fees. We charge $35.00 for every expired/lost power bank.

User of the iOS and Android App are not required to pay a security deposit while using a credit card. An authorization fee will be placed on hold when you rent a power bank from any DCPB Charging Station. If the power bank is returned within 3 days, the hold will be automatically removed.

Gift cards are not acceptable forms of payment. DCPB accepts the following credit cards: American Express, Visa, Discover, and Mastercard. We also take debit cards.

After you finalize the rental of a power bank, your card will be charged temporary with a pre-authorization. The pre-authorization will be removed when you return the power bank to a DCPB charging station. After you return the power bank, your credit card will be charged the hourly rate for the amount time you used the power bank.

The power bank has a 3-in-1 cable that works with iPhone models released after the iPhone 5 and is compatible with most Android phones. It also has a USB Type-C cable, that supports models such as the Samsung GALAXY S8, Huawei, Google Pixel, etc.

An account can only borrow one power bank at once.

Please plug the cables back to the power bank and place the power bank back to the station with the “return” sign facing downward. A tone will ring if the return is successful.
